Nashville native and early artist since childhood, Langford Barksdale has always had strong artistic and creative abilities. Even in her high school days at The Harpeth Hall School, Langford was the recipient of the most prestigious art award, the Cindy Crist Art Purchase Award. From there, she went on to The University of Georgia where she got a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting. Since then Langford has been no stranger of receiving high praises for her talent and artwork, including being the recipient of first place in painting and second place in sculpture in the National Scholastic competition held at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens. Some of Langford’s specialties consist of oil and acrylic paintings, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, portraits and landscapes. Langford enjoys spending a lot of time in Aspen, Colorado, which is depicted through much of her artwork, and explains why she credits nature to be one of her biggest influences.
